Main features of the diesel engine fire pump set type XBC:
1. The electric pump is the main fire pump, it can start automatically according to the fire situation;
2. Equipped with a constant pressure pump to maintain network pressure;
3. The diesel engine pump is the backup fire pump, it starts automatically in case of power failure for fires;
4. When the electric pump fails, the diesel engine pump starts.
5. Automatic start: the diesel engine pump set can start automatically and run at full load within 15 seconds after receiving fire alarm/network pressure/power outage or other start signals;
6. Automatic charging: the battery can be charged automatically with the power grid or with the diesel engine's charging motor, ensuring the successful start of the set;
7. Automatic alarm: automatic protection and alarm for low oil pressure, high water temperature, and other diesel engine faults; alarm and shutdown in case of overspeed;
8. Automatic preheating: keeps the diesel engine in a hot standby state to ensure emergency operation;
9. Direct connection: diesel engine pump sets up to 360 kW use domestic direct connection technology through elastic coupling between motor and pump, reducing failure points, shortening start time, and increasing reliability and responsiveness of the set;
10. The user can also request other alarm outputs (non-standard supply);
11. Telemetry, remote control, and remote detection functions (non-standard supply).
Usage conditions and meaning of the model of the diesel engine fire pump set type XBC:
1) Ambient temperature ≤ 50℃, medium temperature ≤ 80℃,
2) Medium density not exceeding 1240 kg/m3.
3) The liquid level must be above the pump inlet, dry running is prohibited.

Operating principle of the diesel engine fire pump set type XBC:
The diesel engine fire pump set type XBC has the inlet and outlet on the pump body; for maintenance, only the pump cover needs to be removed, the rotor parts can be moved for maintenance without disassembling the pipes. Very convenient, the diesel engine can be on the left or right end as needed, facilitating on-site installation. The structure shortens the axial dimension of the rotor parts, the shaft has good rigidity, operating more stably and reliably. It has a sealing ring on the pump body, and the impeller sealing ring is optional.
The diesel engine fire pump XBC is installed together with electrical instruments and other equipment in a complete set, with full functions, high automation level, compact structure, automatic fault alarm and start signal reception, completing the start process automatically and able to run quickly at full load. The set can optionally be equipped with dampers, flexible rubber joints, and corrugated hose silencers at the exhaust outlet. It has alarm devices for insufficient fuel, low battery voltage, high lubricating oil temperature, overspeed, ensuring start in cold environments. The whole system is safe, reliable, and easy to use.
The diesel engine fire pump set type XBC mainly consists of pump body (1), pump cover (2), impeller (3), shaft (4), sealing ring (5), shaft sleeve (8), and suspension bearing components (12).
The pump body and cover part of the diesel engine fire pump set type XBC is divided from the rear part of the impeller, that is, the commonly called rear door structure. Its advantage is ease of maintenance, without moving the pump body, suction pipes, discharge pipes, or motor during maintenance; only the middle coupling connection piece (elongated) is removed to take out the rotor parts for maintenance. The pump casing (body and cover) forms the working chamber. The impeller, shaft, and bearings are the pump rotor. The suspension bearing components support the rotor, and the bearings support radial and axial forces. To balance axial force, most pumps have sealing rings in front and behind the impeller, and a balance hole in the impeller's rear plate; some pumps with low axial force have no sealing ring or balance hole at the impeller's rear.
The pump axial sealing ring consists of gland packing (9), gland ring (10), and packing (11) to prevent air entry or water leakage. If the impeller is balanced, the cavity with soft packing communicates with the impeller inlet; if the inlet is in vacuum, air can easily enter along the sleeve surface, so a packing ring is installed in the cavity which, through a small hole in the cover, leads pressurized water from the chamber to seal. If the impeller has no balance hole, the liquid pressure at the rear is higher than atmospheric, so no air entry problem and no packing ring is installed. To prevent shaft wear, a protective sleeve is installed where it passes through the packing cavity. Between the sleeve and shaft there is an O-ring seal to prevent air entry or water leakage through the contact surface.
The pump transmission mode is via an elongated elastic coupling connected to the electric motor; the pump rotation direction, viewed from the drive side, is clockwise.
The pump inlet and outlet flanges are designed for a pressure of 1.6 Mpa, facilitating pipe connection.
Working conditions: allowable working pressure 2.5 Mpa; according to the maximum pressure supported by the casing, the pump body and cover are made of ductile iron (2.0 Mpa), cast steel (2.5 Mpa), etc.
