    Product Description

    　　The S-type diesel water pump set with medium opening is an emergency water supply and discharge equipment that uses a diesel engine as a power source to drive a high-performance, newly designed double suction centrifugal pump with a medium opening. It is mainly suitable for drinking water plants, circulating water for air conditioning, heating network systems, water supply in buildings, irrigation, drainage pumping stations, power plants, industrial water supply systems, fire protection systems, naval industry, supply and drainage in mines, and other liquid transport scenarios. The S-type medium opening pump, compared to other pumps of the same type, is characterized by a long service life, high efficiency, reasonable structure, low operating cost, and ease of installation and maintenance, making it an ideal pump for the fire protection, air conditioning, chemical, water treatment, and other industries.

    Product parameters

    　　The design pressure of the body of the diesel engine water pump with large flow and medium opening is 1.6MPa and 2.0MPa. To meet the different requirements of users worldwide, the inlet and outlet flanges of the pump body can be selected according to ANSI, PN, and IS standards, among others. The inlet and outlet flanges of the pump body are located at the bottom of the pump body, allowing the rotor to be removed without disassembling the system pipes, facilitating maintenance. Some parts of the pump body adopt a double-channel design to reduce radial force, thus prolonging the service life of the mechanical seal and bearings.

    　　The hydraulic design of the impeller of the diesel engine water pump with large flow and medium opening uses advanced CFD technology, which improves the hydraulic efficiency of pump S. A dynamic balance of the impeller is performed to ensure stable operation of pump S. The shaft has a thicker diameter and a shorter distance between bearings, which reduces shaft bending and prolongs the service life of the mechanical seal and bearings.

    　　The shaft sleeve of the medium opening diesel engine pump can be made of various different materials to prevent corrosion and wear of the shaft; the sleeve is replaceable. The wear ring between the pump body and the impeller is replaceable to prevent wear of the body and the impeller, facilitating replacement, reducing maintenance costs, and ensuring operational space and high work efficiency. Packing or mechanical seals can be used, and the sealing device can be replaced without disassembling the pump cover.

    　　The unique design of the bearing housing of the medium opening water pump unit allows the bearings to be lubricated with grease or light oil. The designed service life of the bearing is over 100,000 hours, and double-row thrust bearings and sealed bearings can also be used.

    　　Materials: according to the actual needs of the user, the materials of the medium opening type S pump can be copper, cast iron, ductile iron, stainless steel 316, stainless steel 416, bimetallic steel, Hastelloy alloy, Monel alloy, titanium alloy, and alloy 20, among others. The type S pump has two installation forms: horizontal installation and vertical installation; vertical installation can reduce the occupied area.

    Description of the structure of the diesel engine water pump unit with large flow and medium opening

    　　The medium opening type S and SH diesel engine pumps are single-stage, double-suction centrifugal pumps with a medium axial opening volute casing. The inlet and outlet of the pump are located below the centerline of the pump shaft, in a horizontal direction. The main parts of the pump include the pump body, pump cover, impeller, shaft, double-suction sealing ring, among others. There are threaded holes on the inlet and outlet flanges of the pump to install vacuum and pressure gauges, and at the bottom of the flanges, there are threaded holes for drainage. The flanges are manufactured according to the GB standard, but can also be made according to ISO, DIN, BS, or ANSI standards. The impeller, after passing the balance verification, is fixed to the shaft with a sleeve and a sleeve nut, and its axial position can be adjusted by the sleeve nut. The axial force of the impeller is balanced by the symmetrical arrangement of its blades. The pump shaft is supported by two sets of roller bearings installed at both ends of the pump body. The bearings are lubricated with grease. The pump body has double-suction sealing rings that are easy to disassemble and replace. The pump is directly driven by an electric motor through an elastic pin coupling or a metal lamina coupling. The driving motor can also be an internal combustion engine or a gas turbine. The shaft seal can be packing or mechanical. The cooling and washing water for the shaft seal can enter the seal chamber through slots on the medium opening surface of the pump cover or through an external cooling water pipe. It is not necessary to disassemble the inlet and outlet pipes or the electric motor for maintenance, which facilitates repair. According to user needs, the structural dimensions of the pump can be modified.

    　　Direction of rotation: viewed from the end of the electric motor, the pump shaft rotates clockwise (i.e., the water inlet of the pump is on the right). According to user needs, it can be changed to counterclockwise rotation; the inverted pump is indicated by adding the letter F at the end of the pump model.

    　　Unit materials: if the user has no special requirements, the main parts of the single-stage double-suction centrifugal pump (medium opening pump) such as the pump body, pump cover, impeller, double-suction sealing ring, and sleeve are made of gray cast iron, and the shaft is made of carbon steel 45. According to user needs, the shaft can be made of materials such as 2Cr13, 40Cr, and other main passage parts can be made of ductile iron, cast steel, bronze, and stainless steel.

Except for a small number of commonly used standard models that are in stock, the vast majority of models and configurations are not stocked and are customized products. After determining the pump model and configuration, we can then place an order with the workshop for production.
