    　　The horizontal single-stage clean water centrifugal pump with single suction type IS driven by a diesel engine is an energy-saving pump designed jointly at the national level. It is an updated version of the single-stage clean water centrifugal pumps of types BA, BL, and others. Its advantages include: a reasonable hydraulic layout throughout the series, a wide range of options for the user, easy maintenance; efficiency and suction height that reach advanced average international levels. This pump is suitable for water supply and drainage in industries and cities, it can also be used for irrigation and agricultural drainage, as well as for the supply and transport of clean water or other liquids with physical-chemical properties similar to clean water, with a temperature not exceeding 80℃.

    　　The single-stage IS type diesel pump is designed according to the performance and dimensions specified in the national standard ISO2858, mainly composed of the pump body (1), pump cover (2), impeller (3), shaft (4), sealing ring (5), shaft sleeve, and suspension bearing component (12). The single-stage horizontal clean water centrifugal pump with simple suction type IS is rear-opening, does not require disassembling the suction and discharge pipes when opening the cover and impeller. The internal support contains two ball bearings lubricated with machine oil or grease. The pump is directly driven by an electric motor through an elastic coupling. The vortex chamber, legs, inlet flange, and outlet flange are cast as a single piece.

    　　The body part and the cover of the single-stage IS type diesel pump unit are divided from the rear of the impeller, that is, the structure of the rear door commonly called. Its advantage is ease of maintenance, as during repair the pump body, suction and discharge pipes, or the electric motor do not move; it is only necessary to disassemble the intermediate coupling of the elongated coupling to remove the rotor and perform maintenance.

    　　The pump casing (that is, the body and cover of the pump) forms the working chamber of the pump, while the impeller, shaft, and bearings are the rotor. The suspension bearing component supports the rotor parts of the pump, and the bearings support the radial and axial forces of the pump.

    　　To balance the axial force of the pump, most impellers have sealing rings at the front and rear, and on the rear plate of the impeller, there is a balancing hole. Because some pumps have little axial force, the impeller does not have a sealing ring or balancing hole at the rear.

    　　The axial sealing ring of the pump is composed of the packing (9), packing ring (10), and packing (11) to prevent the entry of air or water leaks. If the pump impeller is balanced, the cavity with soft packing is connected to the impeller inlet; if the liquid in the impeller inlet is in a vacuum state, air can easily enter along the surface of the shaft sleeve, so a packing ring is installed in the packing cavity that leads pressurized water from the pump chamber through a small hole in the cover to seal. If the impeller does not have a balancing hole, because the liquid pressure at the rear of the impeller is greater than atmospheric pressure, there is no vapor leakage problem, so the packing ring is not installed.

    　　To prevent wear of the shaft, a protective sleeve is installed at the part where the shaft passes through the packing cavity; between the sleeve and the shaft, an O-ring seal is installed to prevent the entry of air or water leaks along the contact surface.

    　　The transmission mode of the pump is through an elongated elastic coupling connected to the electric motor. The direction of rotation of the pump, viewed from the drive end, is clockwise.

    　　The single-stage IS type diesel water pump has a simple structure, reliable performance, small size, light weight, good cavitation resistance, low power consumption, and easy maintenance.

    　　The single-stage IS type diesel water pump is widely applicable, with a total of 140 specifications across the series, but only uses four types of shafts; the shafts, bearings, and shaft seals of the same specification are interchangeable; and the suspension of the entire series of pumps also only has four types.

    　　The pump speed is divided into two types: 2900 and 1450 rpm.
