The DFP type self-balancing multistage stainless steel chemical pump innovates on the traditional multistage centrifugal pump structure by eliminating the axial force balancing device of ordinary multistage pumps, instead using the mutual cancellation of forces from symmetrically arranged impeller rotor components to balance axial force. This effectively solves axial displacement issues and avoids efficiency losses caused by friction and backflow of the balance disc during operation. Its efficiency is 3-12% higher than ordinary multistage pumps of the same category. At the same time, it completely solves various faults such as wear or seizure of the balance disc and balance disc seat caused by failure of the balancing device, greatly extending the pump's service life. Years of user experience have proven that our self-balancing multistage pumps have greatly improved reliability and efficiency compared to traditional multistage pumps, with fault-free operation time increased by more than three times, effectively extending service life. This not only directly saves production costs for users but also significantly reduces operation and maintenance costs. The DFP type self-balancing multistage stainless steel chemical pump is a model in the self-balancing multistage pump series used for transporting corrosive media. Classified by use, it is a corrosion-resistant chemical pump with advantages such as uniform flow, simple structure, wide coverage of flow and head, and easy maintenance. It can be used to transport corrosive slurries, various acids and alkalis in metal hydrometallurgy, and seawater desalination. Therefore, it is widely used in chemical, metallurgical, mining, light industry, synthetic fiber, environmental protection, and food applications, and is an excellent replacement for traditional DF type multistage stainless steel chemical pumps with balance disc or balance drum structures.

    1. Stator Part

Mainly composed of the suction section (water inlet section), middle section, discharge section (water outlet section), guide vanes, secondary water inlet section, packing gland (end cover), and Bearing body, all connected into one unit by tension bolts. Viewed from the coupling end, the pump suction inlet is horizontally to the right, and the discharge outlet is vertically upward.

    2. Rotor Part

Mainly composed of shaft, impeller, throttle shaft components, bearings, and shaft sleeves.

    3. Pump Sealing

3.1 The stationary joint surfaces between the pump suction section (water inlet section), middle section, discharge section (water outlet section), and secondary water inlet section are sealed with sealant or molybdenum disulfide.

3.2 Throttle seals are used between pump stages.

3.3 Soft packing seals are used on both sides of the pump shaft.

3.4 Water rings are used to block water and prevent water from entering the bearings.

    4. Bearing Part

The entire rotor of the pump is supported by cylindrical roller bearings (GB/T283-94) at the drive end and angular contact ball bearings (GB/T292-94) at the end. Bearings are lubricated with CD30 or CD40 mechanical oil added to the bearing housing up to the oil sight glass center. Because angular contact ball bearings (GB/T292-94) are used, the assembled pump rotor has no axial displacement.

Image 1 Working Principle of DFP Type Self-Balancing Multistage Stainless Steel Chemical Pump

The pump shaft, driven by the motor, rotates the impeller, doing work on the liquid and increasing its high-speed rotational energy. The required amount of liquid is sequentially drawn from the suction pool through the pump's water inlet section, forward impeller, forward guide vane, middle section, horizontal outlet of the discharge section, transition pipe, secondary water inlet section, backward impeller, backward guide vane, and finally discharged from the vertical outlet of the discharge section to the demand side.

Image 1   Top 10 Advantages of Self-Balancing Multistage Pump VS Traditional Multistage Pump

    1. New Structure: The self-balancing multistage pump features rotor components with symmetrically arranged impellers, so the axial thrust generated by the forward and backward impeller groups during operation basically cancels out each other. This eliminates the balance disc device, which has small clearances, high pressure drops, is prone to erosion, wear, and faults, breaking through the traditional structure of multistage pumps;

    2. New Technology: The self-balancing multistage pump uniquely uses throttling and pressure-reducing devices and an odd-numbered stage balancing device, which also serves as auxiliary support;

    3. High Efficiency and Energy Saving: The self-balancing multistage pump uses an advanced hydraulic model to solve the wear and axial pulsation caused by the balance disk, ensuring the alignment between the impeller and guide vane is always optimal. During long-term use, it also avoids the significant efficiency drop seen in ordinary multistage pumps due to balance disk wear and rotor component forward movement. Additionally, there is no leakage of balancing water, reducing volumetric loss, overall improving pump operating efficiency, lowering shaft power, and achieving an efficiency 3%-12% higher than ordinary multistage pumps.

    4. High Reliability: The self-balancing multistage pump uses a self-balancing system to basically offset the axial force load generated during pump operation, minimizing rotor wear on the pump and system interference. A very small residual axial force is borne by the thrust bearing, keeping the pump shaft always in tension, with uniform stress distribution and significantly reduced stress peaks compared to the prototype structure. This improves the rotor's rigidity and critical speed, significantly enhancing the rotor's operational stability and reliability.

    5. High Stability: The self-balancing multistage pump achieves excellent matching between symmetrical impellers and guide vanes, along with reasonable clearance and a wide axial throttling design, allowing the pump to maintain very high stability and operational efficiency even after long-term operation.

    6. Good Cavitation Performance: The self-balancing multistage pump adopts an optimized hydraulic model and structural design, a special double-suction structure for the first-stage impeller, precise casting, and wear-resistant materials, giving the pump excellent cavitation resistance. The entire machine runs smoothly with low noise, and users do not need to additionally configure a booster pump or raise the height of the inlet tank.

    7. Strong Mechanical Seal Reliability: Because the rotor components of the self-balancing multistage pump do not have axial movement during start and stop, and there is no axial pulsation during operation, it overcomes the long-standing problem of poor mechanical seal reliability in multistage pumps.

    8. Easy Maintenance: The self-balancing multistage pump is designed with 3D modeling, and rotor components are CNC machined, strictly ensuring the processing dimensions and accuracy of each part. This allows for quick assembly and disassembly of the pump, and seals and bearings can be replaced without dismantling the pump body or inlet/outlet pipelines. General technicians can complete this by following the assembly sequence and requirements in the general assembly drawing, completely avoiding the need for specialized personnel to adjust and position axial movement dimensions as required by old-style multistage pumps, providing great convenience to users.

    9. Low Maintenance Rate: The self-balancing multistage pump uses precision casting, reducing wear parts and the frequency of maintenance disassembly, extending product service life, greatly avoiding a series of problems caused by excessive disassembly, and lowering maintenance costs.

    10. Strong Applicability: The self-balancing multistage pump adopts an advanced combined modular design. Local components have been tested through extensive use and long-term operation, with parts highly interchangeable. It eliminates the small clearance balance disk device and is more suitable for harsher media conditions than traditional structure multistage pumps.

    Q

Can you help me choose a model?

    A

Of course! If the water pump model is not selected accurately, it can cause significant problems. After you take it back, it might be either too small to meet the usage requirements or too large, resulting in higher electricity and fuel costs, increasing the operating expenses.

    Q

Why is the price quotation so slow?

    A

Because centrifugal pumps are non-standard custom products with many models and a wide price range. Even for the same model, the price varies greatly depending on the materials and configurations used. Taking the most common pump accessory—the impeller—as an example, the price of a stainless steel impeller is several times that of a cast iron impeller. Therefore, we need to clearly confirm the relevant information to provide you with an accurate price. Normally, if you provide comprehensive information, we can quote within 5 minutes.

    Q

What information should I provide when I need a quote?

    A

Usually, if you want to get an accurate quote, it is recommended that you provide us with the following information: pump flow rate, head, on-site operating voltage, frequency, temperature of the conveyed liquid, pH value, solid particle content, on-site installation conditions (horizontal or vertical installation), and other related details. If you are not very familiar with these, it’s okay; our sales manager will assist you in determining them.

    Q

Do you have centrifugal pumps in stock?

    A

There are many models and configurations of centrifugal pumps. Except for a small number of commonly used standard models that are in stock, the vast majority of models and configurations are not stocked and are customized products. We need to first select the pump based on your site conditions such as flow rate, head, medium temperature, pH value, and installation conditions. After determining the pump model and configuration, we can then place an order with the workshop for production.

    Q

What is your usual delivery time?
