ISG Vertical Single-Stage Pipeline Centrifugal Pump: Structural Diagram and Features:
1. The ISG vertical pipeline pump features a vertical design, with inlet and outlet ports of the same diameter located precisely on the same centerline. It can be installed directly into the pipeline like a valve, boasting a compact and aesthetically pleasing appearance, minimal footprint, and low initial construction costs. Additionally, when equipped with a protective cover, it can even be used outdoors.
2. The impeller is directly mounted on the motor’s extended shaft, resulting in a short axial dimension and a compact structure. The pump and motor bearings are arranged rationally, effectively balancing both the radial and axial loads generated during pump operation, thereby ensuring smooth pump performance with minimal vibration and low noise levels.
3. The shaft seal utilizes either a mechanical seal or a mechanical seal combination, featuring imported titanium alloy sealing rings, medium-sized high-temperature-resistant mechanical seals, and hard alloy materials for exceptional wear resistance, effectively extending the service life of the mechanical seal.
4. Installation and maintenance are convenient—no need to dismantle the pipeline system; simply remove the pump coupling base nut to easily extract the entire rotor assembly.
5. The ISG vertical pipeline centrifugal pump can adopt series or parallel operation modes according to usage requirements, such as flow rate and head needs.
6. The ISG vertical pipeline centrifugal pump can be installed either vertically or horizontally, depending on the requirements of the piping layout.
Pipeline pump preparation, startup, and shutdown:
I. Pre-Startup Preparations:
1. Test whether the motor is rotating in the correct direction—when viewed from the top of the motor looking toward the pump, it should rotate clockwise. Keep the test duration short to prevent dry friction and wear on the mechanical seal.
2. Open the exhaust valve to allow liquid to fill the entire pump body, then close the exhaust valve once it’s full.
3. Before starting the ISG single-stage pipeline pump, check whether each component is functioning properly.
4. Manually turn the pump to allow lubricant to enter the mechanical seal faces.
5. For high-temperature applications, preheating should be performed first, with a heating rate of 50°C per hour, to ensure uniform heating throughout all components.
II. Startup:
1. Fully open the imported valve.
2. When starting a vertical centrifugal pump, close the discharge pipeline valve.
3. Motor: Observe whether the pump is operating correctly.
4. Check the shaft seal for leaks; under normal conditions, mechanical seal leakage should be less than 3 drops per minute.
5. Check that the temperature rise at the motor and bearing areas is ≤70°C.
6. Adjust the outlet valve opening to achieve the desired operating conditions. If the user has installed a flow meter or pressure gauge at the pump outlet, adjust the valve opening so that the pump operates at the rated point specified in the performance parameter chart. Alternatively, if a flow meter or pressure gauge is present, monitor the pump’s motor current by adjusting the outlet valve and ensure the motor stays within its rated current range. Failure to do so may result in the pump running under overload conditions—specifically, at excessively high current levels—which could ultimately lead to motor burnout. Properly adjusted outlet valve openings also depend on factors such as pipe system conditions and flow requirements.
3. Parking:
1. Close the discharge pipeline valve.
2. Stop the motor.
3. When shutting down a vertical centrifugal pump, close the inlet valve.
4. If parking for an extended period, drain all the liquid from the pump.
5. For high-temperature types, first cool down; ensure the cooling rate is carefully controlled.
Maintenance During Operation and Mechanical Seal Maintenance:
I. Maintenance During Operation:
1. Imported pipelines must be completely filled with liquid; pumps are prohibited from operating continuously under cavitation conditions.
2. Vertical pipeline centrifugal pumps should have their motor current values checked regularly, ensuring they do not exceed the motor's rated current.
3. After prolonged operation, if mechanical wear causes increased noise and vibration in the unit, stop the machine for inspection. If necessary, replace worn parts and bearings. Typically, a major overhaul of the unit is scheduled once a year.
4. During operation, dedicated personnel should manage and maintain the system to prevent accidents.
5. Lubricate the bearings every 500 operating hours. Motors with power greater than 11 kW are equipped with a lubrication device, allowing direct injection via a high-pressure oil gun to ensure excellent bearing lubrication.
II. Mechanical Seal Maintenance:
1. When operating the pump, the mechanical seal lubrication should be clean and free of solid particles.
2. When operating a vertical centrifugal pump, it is strictly prohibited for the mechanical seal to run under dry-grinding conditions.
3. Before starting the pump, manually turn the pump (or motor) several rounds to prevent sudden startup from causing graphite components to crack or break.
4. The permissible leakage rate for the seal is 3 drops per minute. If this is exceeded, an inspection should be conducted.

FAQ
Q
What products do you mainly produce?
A
Zoomlion Pump Industry manufactures various large industrial centrifugal pumps. The main products include: self-balancing multistage pumps, multistage centrifugal pumps, single-stage centrifugal pumps, split-case pumps, chemical pumps, submersible pumps, pipeline pumps, long-shaft pumps, condenser pumps, and more.
Q
Can you help me choose a model?
A
Of course! If the water pump model is not selected accurately, it can cause significant problems. After you take it back, it might be either too small to meet the usage requirements or too large, resulting in higher electricity and fuel costs, increasing the operating expenses.
Q
Why is the price quotation so slow?
A
Because centrifugal pumps are non-standard custom products with many models and a wide price range. Even for the same model, the price varies greatly depending on the materials and configurations used. Taking the most common pump accessory—the impeller—as an example, the price of a stainless steel impeller is several times that of a cast iron impeller. Therefore, we need to clearly confirm the relevant information to provide you with an accurate price. Normally, if you provide comprehensive information, we can quote within 5 minutes.
Q
What information should I provide when I need a quote?
A
Usually, if you want to get an accurate quote, it is recommended that you provide us with the following information: pump flow rate, head, on-site operating voltage, frequency, temperature of the conveyed liquid, pH value, solid particle content, on-site installation conditions (horizontal or vertical installation), and other related details.
If you are not very familiar with these, it’s okay; our sales manager will assist you in determining them.
Q
Do you have centrifugal pumps in stock?
A
There are many models and configurations of centrifugal pumps. Except for a small number of commonly used standard models that are in stock, the vast majority of models and configurations are not stocked and are customized products. We need to first select the pump based on your site conditions such as flow rate, head, medium temperature, pH value, and installation conditions. After determining the pump model and configuration, we can then place an order with the workshop for production.
Q
What is your usual delivery time?
A
Models in stock can be shipped by the next day at the latest. Others are custom-made, and depending on the product size and specific project conditions, the delivery time is generally between 7-90 days. Please consult our sales manager for details: 0731-88632200 。
