    The vertical multistage centrifugal pump type DL consists of two parts: the motor and the pump. The motor is a Y-type three-phase asynchronous motor. The pump and motor are connected by a coupling, with a rigid connection as a whole, requiring no alignment during use. The pump consists of a stator part and a rotor part. The stator part of the pump includes a water inlet section, an intermediate section, a vane guide, a water outlet section, and a stuffing box body, among other parts. To prevent stator wear, the stator is equipped with a sealing ring, a balance set, etc., which can be replaced with spare parts once worn. The rotor part consists of a shaft, an impeller, a balance drum, etc. The lower end of the rotor is a water-lubricated bearing, and the upper part is an angular contact ball bearing. Most of the axial force of the vertical multistage centrifugal pump type DL is borne by the balance drum, and the small remaining part of the axial force is borne by the angular contact ball bearing. The joint surface of the water inlet and outlet sections is sealed with a paper gasket. The shaft sealing uses a stuffing box or a mechanical seal, which the user can choose according to their needs.
    The pump rotation direction, viewed from the drive end downward, is counterclockwise.
    1. The vertical multistage centrifugal water pump type DL has a compact structure, small size, attractive appearance, and small installation footprint, saving construction costs;
    2. The water inlet and outlet of the vertical multistage centrifugal water pump type DL are on the same centerline, simplifying pipe connections;
    3. Depending on the actual situation, the inlet and outlet of the DL type vertical multistage centrifugal pump can be installed in different directions of 90°, 180°, 270°;
    4. Depending on the actual situation, the outlet of the DL type vertical multistage centrifugal pump can be installed with 1 to 5 outlets to achieve different lift heights on the same pump;

    Installation instructions for the DL type vertical multistage centrifugal pump

    1. Before installation, check the condition of the pump and the motor.
    2. The pump should be installed as close as possible to the water source.
    3. There are two methods to install the pump on the base: a rigid connection directly on a cement base, or a flexible connection with a JGD damper.
    Refer to the installation diagram for detailed instructions.
    4. For direct installation, place the pump on the base with an elevation of 30 to 40 mm (to be filled with cement grout), then perform alignment, place the anchor bolts, fill with cement grout, and after 3 to 5 days of cement drying, realign. Once the cement is completely dry, tighten the nuts of the anchor bolts.
    5. When installing the pipes, both the inlet and outlet pipes must have their own supports to prevent the pump flange from bearing excessive weight from the pipes.
    6. If the pump is used in suction applications, the inlet pipe must be equipped with a foot valve, and the inlet and outlet pipes should not have too many bends, and there should be no water or air leaks.
    7. It is recommended to install a filter screen on the inlet pipe to prevent impurities from entering the impeller. The effective area of the filter screen should be 3 to 4 times the area of the inlet pipe to ensure free liquid circulation.
    8. To facilitate maintenance and ensure safety, install a regulating valve on the pump's inlet and outlet pipes, and a pressure gauge near the pump outlet to ensure the pump operates within the rated range and to guarantee its normal operation and service life.
    9. If an expansion connection is required at the inlet, use an eccentric reducer fitting.
    8. To facilitate maintenance and safe and convenient use, install a regulating valve on the pump's inlet and outlet pipes, and a pressure gauge near the pump outlet to ensure the pump operates within the rated range, ensuring its normal operation and service life.
    9. If an expansion connection is required at the inlet, use an eccentric reducer fitting.
    DL type vertical multistage centrifugal pump: Start-up, operation, and shutdown

    I. Start-up:

    1. If the pump is used in suction applications (i.e., the inlet is under negative pressure), first fill the inlet pipe with water to purge the air or use a vacuum pump to extract the water, so that the water fills the entire pump and inlet pipe. Note that the inlet pipe must be sealed and there should be no air leaks.
    2. Close the gate valve and the pressure gauge valve on the outlet pipe to reduce the starting current.
    3. Manually rotate the rotor several times to lubricate the bearings and check if the impeller and the pump sealing ring rotate without friction. If it does not rotate, do not start until the cause of the failure is found.
    4. Attempt to start. The motor rotation direction must match the pump arrow direction. Open the pressure gauge valve.
    5. When the rotor reaches normal operating speed and the pressure gauge shows pressure, gradually open the outlet gate valve until the desired operating conditions are reached.
    II. Operation:

    1. During pump operation, pay attention to instrument readings and make the pump operate as close as possible to the flow rate and lift height specified on the nameplate. Avoid high flow operation.
    2. Periodically check that the motor current value does not exceed the rated current.
    3. The temperature of the pump bearings should not exceed 75 ℃ and should not exceed the ambient temperature by more than 35 ℃.
    4. When starting the pump operation, loosen the packing pressure cover. Once the expanded graphite or packing is fully expanded, adjust it to the appropriate level.
    5. Excessively worn parts should be replaced in time.
    6. If any abnormalities are observed, stop the machine immediately and investigate the cause.
    III. Shutdown:

    1. Close the outlet pipe gate valve and the vacuum gauge valve.
    2. Stop the motor and then close the pressure gauge valve.
    3. In case of winter freezing, drain the liquid from the pump to prevent cracking due to freezing.
    4. If the pump will not be used for an extended period, disassemble it, clean it, lubricate it, and store it properly.

    FAQ

    Q

    What products do you mainly produce?

    A

    Zoomlion Pump Industry manufactures various large industrial centrifugal pumps. The main products include: self-balancing multistage pumps, multistage centrifugal pumps, single-stage centrifugal pumps, split-case pumps, chemical pumps, submersible pumps, pipeline pumps, long-shaft pumps, condenser pumps, and more.

    Q

    Can you help me choose a model?

    A

    Of course! If the water pump model is not selected accurately, it can cause significant problems. After you take it back, it might be either too small to meet the usage requirements or too large, resulting in higher electricity and fuel costs, increasing the operating expenses.

    Q

    Why is the price quotation so slow?

    A

    Because centrifugal pumps are non-standard custom products with many models and a wide price range. Even for the same model, the price varies greatly depending on the materials and configurations used. Taking the most common pump accessory—the impeller—as an example, the price of a stainless steel impeller is several times that of a cast iron impeller. Therefore, we need to clearly confirm the relevant information to provide you with an accurate price. Normally, if you provide comprehensive information, we can quote within 5 minutes.

    Q

    What information should I provide when I need a quote?

    A

    Usually, if you want to get an accurate quote, it is recommended that you provide us with the following information: pump flow rate, head, on-site operating voltage, frequency, temperature of the conveyed liquid, pH value, solid particle content, on-site installation conditions (horizontal or vertical installation), and other related details. If you are not very familiar with these, it’s okay; our sales manager will assist you in determining them.

    Q

    Do you have centrifugal pumps in stock?

    A

    There are many models and configurations of centrifugal pumps. Except for a small number of commonly used standard models that are in stock, the vast majority of models and configurations are not stocked and are customized products. We need to first select the pump based on your site conditions such as flow rate, head, medium temperature, pH value, and installation conditions. After determining the pump model and configuration, we can then place an order with the workshop for production.

    Q

    What is your usual delivery time?

    A

    Models in stock can be shipped by the next day at the latest. Others are custom-made, and depending on the product size and specific project conditions, the delivery time is generally between 7-90 days. Please consult our sales manager for details: 0731-88632200 。
