    Product description

The screw vacuum pump is an upgraded product of the oil-sealed vacuum pump, suitable for extracting gases containing a large amount of water vapor and a small amount of dust. It is widely used in domestic companies in the pharmaceutical, chemical, and semiconductor sectors that require a clean vacuum.

The dry screw vacuum pump is a technologically advanced product with high technical content. It uses a pair of screw rotors with opposite rotation that rotate synchronously at high speed inside the pump housing, generating suction and air expulsion. The two screws are calibrated with precise dynamic balance, supported by bearings, and installed in the pump housing. There is a certain gap between the screws, so during operation there is no friction between them, ensuring stable operation, low noise level, and that the working chamber does not require lubricating oil. The maintenance-free design technology solves the complicated and costly maintenance problems of vacuum pumps. The pump's working chamber does not need lubricating oil or sealing liquid, can recover all types of condensable gases, solving contamination problems that steam jet pumps, sliding valve pumps, rotary vane pumps, and liquid ring pumps may cause to the vacuum system and the environment. Additionally, material recovery can generate additional economic benefits. It has a higher ultimate vacuum, lower energy consumption, and advantages such as energy saving and maintenance-free operation. It is mainly applied in high-purity vacuum processes, with an extremely high vacuum degree, capable of adapting to adverse conditions, and with the ability to extract condensable gases and particles. It is especially suitable for clean environments and easy corrosion treatment, being widely used in domestic companies in the pharmaceutical, chemical, and semiconductor sectors that require a clean vacuum. It is also used in the fields of electronics, chemistry, biomedicine, metal processing, and food processing.

Oil-free and dry screw vacuum pump

    Product Parameters

Performance Features of the Oil-Free Dry Screw Vacuum Pump
      1. There is no medium inside the working chamber, a clean vacuum can be obtained
      2. The surface of the working chamber and the screw rotor has an anti-corrosion coating, suitable for harsh working conditions
      3. The gas is not compressed inside the pump, suitable for extracting condensable gases
      4. A single pump can extract from the atmosphere down to 1 Pa, greatly simplifying the vacuum system.
      5. Water temperature has little effect on the vacuum, saving more than 90% of water, and may even consume no water.
      6. Does not consume oil, no dripping
      7. There is no friction between rotating parts, can operate at high speed, compact size
      8. Simple structure, easy maintenance.
      9. The extracted gas is discharged directly from the pump body, does not contaminate water, no ambient pressure, more convenient gas recovery.
      10. Can form an oil-free set with Roots pumps and molecular pumps.
      11. The dry screw pump only needs a small amount of circulating cooling water, with low operating cost. In contrast, water jet pumps and water ring pumps require periodic or continuous water changes due to constant solvent entry into the tank, consuming a lot of water. With the continuous increase in water cost, the operating cost of these pumps is high. Although the price of dry screw pump equipment is higher, its long-term cost is lower, more economical and environmentally friendly.
      12. Regarding chemical production safety and product quality, the dry screw vacuum pump also has its advantages. In the vacuum systems we use, many materials react with water, which can even cause decomposition and explosion risks. Water ring and water jet pumps risk water being sucked back into the vacuum system during sudden stops, which can cause safety hazards or product contamination; whereas the dry screw pump uses no water or oil, even if there is reverse suction it will not cause danger or contamination, which is more favorable for safety and quality assurance.
      13. Corrosion resistance. The flow parts of the dry screw vacuum pump can be nickel-plated, resisting corrosion from most organic and inorganic acidic gases. It has been successfully used in distillation systems extracting toluene with hydrochloric acid gas. Water ring pumps are not suitable for anti-corrosion treatments and are generally not used in acidic systems; water jet pumps use materials like polypropylene or fiberglass for anti-corrosion protection, but these materials do not resist prolonged dissolution and corrosion by organic solvents like toluene, and the rapid cycling of organic liquid inside the pump can generate static ignition risks.

Operating Principle of the Oil-Free Dry Screw Vacuum Pump
Similar to the screw compressor, the working process of the dry screw vacuum pump is divided into three stages: suction, compression, and discharge. With the rotor rotation, each pair of meshing teeth successively completes the same work cycle, now explained with one pair of teeth.
      Suction Process
The male rotor rotates counterclockwise, the female rotor rotates clockwise. The rotor face at the top of the image is the suction section, the lower face is the discharge section.
      Compression Process
The rotor face is the discharge section. Here, the male rotor rotates clockwise, the female rotor counterclockwise. The rotor face at the top of the image is the suction section, the lower face is the discharge section.
      Discharge Process
In the screw pump discharge process, when the volume between teeth connects with the discharge opening, the discharge process begins. As the volume between teeth decreases, the gas at discharge pressure is gradually expelled through the discharge opening.

    FAQ

    Q

What products do you mainly produce?

    A

Zoomlion Pump Industry manufactures various large industrial centrifugal pumps. The main products include: self-balancing multistage pumps, multistage centrifugal pumps, single-stage centrifugal pumps, split-case pumps, chemical pumps, submersible pumps, pipeline pumps, long-shaft pumps, condenser pumps, and more.

    Q

Can you help me choose a model?

    A

Of course! If the water pump model is not selected accurately, it can cause significant problems. After you take it back, it might be either too small to meet the usage requirements or too large, resulting in higher electricity and fuel costs, increasing the operating expenses.

    Q

Why is the price quotation so slow?

    A

Because centrifugal pumps are non-standard custom products with many models and a wide price range. Even for the same model, the price varies greatly depending on the materials and configurations used. Taking the most common pump accessory—the impeller—as an example, the price of a stainless steel impeller is several times that of a cast iron impeller. Therefore, we need to clearly confirm the relevant information to provide you with an accurate price. Normally, if you provide comprehensive information, we can quote within 5 minutes.

    Q

What information should I provide when I need a quote?

    A

Usually, if you want to get an accurate quote, it is recommended that you provide us with the following information: pump flow rate, head, on-site operating voltage, frequency, temperature of the conveyed liquid, pH value, solid particle content, on-site installation conditions (horizontal or vertical installation), and other related details. If you are not very familiar with these, it’s okay; our sales manager will assist you in determining them.

    Q

Do you have centrifugal pumps in stock?

    A

There are many models and configurations of centrifugal pumps. Except for a small number of commonly used standard models that are in stock, the vast majority of models and configurations are not stocked and are customized products. We need to first select the pump based on your site conditions such as flow rate, head, medium temperature, pH value, and installation conditions. After determining the pump model and configuration, we can then place an order with the workshop for production.

    Q

What is your usual delivery time?

    A

Models in stock can be shipped by the next day at the latest. Others are custom-made, and depending on the product size and specific project conditions, the delivery time is generally between 7-90 days. Please consult our sales manager for details: 0731-88632200
