    Product Description

The SK type water ring vacuum pump and compressor are used to suction or compress gases and other non-corrosive gases, insoluble in water and without solid particles, in order to create a vacuum or pressure in a closed container and meet process requirements. The suctioned or compressed gas is allowed to contain a small amount of liquid.

The SK series vacuum pump assemblies are widely used in the mechanical, petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, ceramic, sugar, dyeing and printing, metallurgical, and electronic industries.

Because during operation, the compression of gas in the SK series water ring vacuum pump is carried out under isothermal conditions, the risk of hazards when compressing or suctioning flammable or explosive gases is reduced, making its application broader.

Operating principle of the SK series water ring vacuum pump unit:

The SK type water ring vacuum pump unit is shown in figure (1). The impeller 3 is mounted eccentrically inside the pump body 2, so when the impeller 3 rotates, the water forms a rotating water ring 5 on the inner wall of the pump body under centrifugal force. The upper inner surface of the water ring is tangent to the hub and rotates in the direction of the arrow. During the first half rotation, the inner surface of the water ring of the SK type vacuum pump gradually separates from the hub, forming a closed space between the impeller blades and the water ring. As the impeller rotates, this space gradually expands, the gas pressure in the space decreases, and gas is drawn into the space; during the second half rotation, the inner surface of the water ring of the SK type vacuum pump gradually approaches the hub, the space between the blades decreases, and the gas pressure in the space increases. When the pressure is higher than that of the discharge port, the gas between the blades is expelled. Thus, each time the impeller completes a full rotation, the space between the blades performs a suction and discharge cycle, and many spaces work continuously, so the pump continuously sucks or compresses gas. Because the SK type water ring vacuum pump unit generates heat during operation, the working water ring heats up and part of the water and gas are expelled together. Therefore, during operation, it is necessary to continuously supply water to the pump to cool and replenish the water consumed inside the pump, meeting the pump's working requirements. When the gas discharged by the SK type water ring vacuum pump is not reused, a water and gas separator is connected at the pump's discharge end (a water tank can be manufactured as a replacement). After the wastewater and part of the carried water enter the water and gas separator, the gas and water are separated. The gas is discharged through the exhaust pipe, and the remaining water is supplied to the pump through the return pipe for continuous use. As the working time prolongs, the temperature of the working water constantly increases. At this time, a certain amount of cold water (tap water) must be supplied from the water supply point of the water and gas separator to reduce the temperature of the working water and ensure that the SK type water ring vacuum pump meets the technical requirements and indicators.

Water inlet When the SK type water ring vacuum pump is used as a compressor, the pump outlet is connected to a water and gas separator. The water and gas mixture automatically enters the separator, where the gas and water are separated. The gas is transported to the required system through the exhaust pipe, and the working water is automatically discharged through an overflow switch. During compression, the working water heats up easily and is discharged from the outlet of the SK type water ring vacuum pump at a relatively high temperature. Therefore, at the bottom of the water and gas separator, cold water must be continuously supplied to replenish the discharged hot water and cool the working water, preventing the working water temperature from becoming too high, thus ensuring the compressor's performance, meeting technical indicators, and satisfying process requirements.

    FAQ

    Q

What products do you mainly produce?

    A

Zoomlion Pump Industry manufactures various large industrial centrifugal pumps. The main products include: self-balancing multistage pumps, multistage centrifugal pumps, single-stage centrifugal pumps, split-case pumps, chemical pumps, submersible pumps, pipeline pumps, long-shaft pumps, condenser pumps, and more.

    Q

Can you help me choose a model?

    A

Of course! If the water pump model is not selected accurately, it can cause significant problems. After you take it back, it might be either too small to meet the usage requirements or too large, resulting in higher electricity and fuel costs, increasing the operating expenses.

    Q

Why is the price quotation so slow?

    A

Because centrifugal pumps are non-standard custom products with many models and a wide price range. Even for the same model, the price varies greatly depending on the materials and configurations used. Taking the most common pump accessory—the impeller—as an example, the price of a stainless steel impeller is several times that of a cast iron impeller. Therefore, we need to clearly confirm the relevant information to provide you with an accurate price. Normally, if you provide comprehensive information, we can quote within 5 minutes.

    Q

What information should I provide when I need a quote?

    A

Usually, if you want to get an accurate quote, it is recommended that you provide us with the following information: pump flow rate, head, on-site operating voltage, frequency, temperature of the conveyed liquid, pH value, solid particle content, on-site installation conditions (horizontal or vertical installation), and other related details. If you are not very familiar with these, it’s okay; our sales manager will assist you in determining them.

    Q

Do you have centrifugal pumps in stock?

    A

There are many models and configurations of centrifugal pumps. Except for a small number of commonly used standard models that are in stock, the vast majority of models and configurations are not stocked and are customized products. We need to first select the pump based on your site conditions such as flow rate, head, medium temperature, pH value, and installation conditions. After determining the pump model and configuration, we can then place an order with the workshop for production.

    Q

What is your usual delivery time?

    A

Models in stock can be shipped by the next day at the latest. Others are custom-made, and depending on the product size and specific project conditions, the delivery time is generally between 7-90 days. Please consult our sales manager for details: 0731-88632200 。
