    Product Description

            The split casing multistage pump with API BB3 structure is a type of centrifugal pump developed and produced by Changsha Zhonglian Pump Industry, a manufacturer of multistage pumps, based on the BB3 structure pump model according to the API 610 standard of the American Petroleum Institute. This pump is double suction, with axial split and symmetrical arrangement of the multistage impellers. It is designed to handle high flow and high pressure conditions and is commonly used in heavy industrial applications requiring high reliability, such as oil refining, chemical processing, and power generation.

    1. Precise casting: Closed impeller, dynamic balance, circular movement of the impeller to prevent horizontal displacement.

     

    2. Wear-resistant ring: Wear-resistant ring of the impeller, fixed with axial screws.

     

    3. Shaft: Sufficient dimensions to meet strict dynamic and shaft power transmission requirements.

     

    4. Sealing chamber: Meets API 682 requirements, with single or double face mechanical seals.

     

    5. Sleeve: Minimizes internal flow between the high-pressure and low-pressure ends.

The pump casing consists of two parts, upper and lower, connected by several bolts around the casing to facilitate maintenance.

    7. Impeller configuration: Depending on suction conditions, the first stage impeller can be configured as single or double suction. The impellers are divided into two groups, separated by a central sleeve or seal.

    8. Force balance design: Radial force balance of the pump is achieved by a double volute design; axial balance is achieved with the first stage double suction impeller plus the remaining impellers mounted back to back (or all single suction impellers mounted back to back), without the need for additional axial balance mechanisms. The residual axial force is supported by the thrust bearing.

    9. Bearing configuration: Depending on pump size and load, radial bearings can be ball or lubricated bearings; thrust bearings can be angular contact ball bearings mounted back to back or tapered roller bearings. Lubrication can be self-lubrication with fine oil, oil mist lubrication, or oil pressure lubrication.

    10. Cooling method: Depending on usage conditions and pump size, bearings can be naturally cooled with fins and air, with fan, with water jacket, or with coil cooling.

    There are many models and configurations of centrifugal pumps. Except for a small number of commonly used standard models that are in stock, the vast majority of models and configurations are not stocked and are customized products. We need to first select the pump based on your site conditions such as flow rate, head, medium temperature, pH value, and installation conditions. After determining the pump model and configuration, we can then place an order with the workshop for production.
