    Product summary

As one of the recognized domestic manufacturers of multistage centrifugal pumps, to actively respond to the national call for energy saving and adherence to the sustainable development path, our company, after studying and adopting advanced technologies from similar foreign products and combining years of experience in pump design, has developed a series of high-efficiency and energy-saving self-balancing multistage oil pumps. Hydraulic model, developed according to API610 standards, with high efficiency and low energy consumption, wide performance range, reasonable structure, good cavitation performance, safe and stable operation, low noise, few wear parts, easy installation and maintenance, occupying an advanced technical position in the industry, widely used in the petrochemical industry, especially for lifting, pressurizing, and transporting petroleum products.

The DYP type self-balancing multistage pump, as a high-efficiency and energy-saving multistage centrifugal pump, is a model of multistage pump with specific applications. It uses a secure sealing design; depending on the pressure and structure, the pump casing uses hard metal-to-metal sealing or O-ring sealing, with advantages of uniform flow, simple structure, wide flow and height range, and easy maintenance. It is widely used in petrochemicals, surface engineering of oil fields, and water injection in crude oil. The DYP type self-balancing multistage pump innovates the traditional structure of multistage centrifugal pumps, eliminating the axial force balancing device of common multistage pumps, and uses the mutual cancellation of the forces of the symmetrically arranged impeller rotor components to balance the axial force, effectively solving axial displacement. During operation, there is no efficiency loss caused by the friction of the balancing disc or backflow, increasing efficiency by 3-12% compared to common multistage pumps of the same category. In addition, it completely resolves failures such as wear or blockage of the disc and balancing seat due to failures of the balancing device, significantly prolonging the pump's service life. Years of usage experience shows that our self-balancing multistage pumps have greater reliability and efficiency than traditional multistage pumps, with a fault-free operating time more than three times greater, effectively extending service life, saving production costs for users, and significantly reducing operating and maintenance costs. The DYP type self-balancing multistage pump is the main product of the series for transporting oils and petroleum substances, classified as a high-pressure multistage centrifugal pump for oil, being a good replacement for traditional DY type multistage pumps with disc or balancing drum structure.

Image 1 Structural description of the DYP type self-balancing multistage pump for oil fields

The DYP type self-balancing multistage pump is supported at both ends, with a segmented casing, and the pump drive is connected to the motor via a pin elastic coupling. Pump rotation direction: viewed from the drive end, the pump rotates clockwise.

    1. Stator part

Mainly composed of the suction section (water inlet), middle section, discharge section (water outlet), guide vanes, secondary water inlet section, packing body (rear cover) and bearing and other parts connected together by tension bolts. From the coupling end, the pump inlet is oriented horizontally to the right and the outlet vertically upwards.

    2. Rotor part

Mainly composed of shaft, impeller, throttling shaft components, bearings, and sleeves.

    3. Pump sealing

3.1 The static joint surfaces between the suction section (water inlet), middle section, discharge section (water outlet), and secondary water inlet section are sealed with adhesive or molybdenum disulfide.

3.2 Throttling sealing is used between the stages of the pump.

3.3 The shaft seals on both sides of the pump use soft packings.

3.4 A water retaining ring is used to prevent water from entering the bearings.

    4. Bearing part

The complete rotor of the pump is supported by a cylindrical roller bearing according to GB/T283-94 at the drive end and an angular contact ball bearing according to GB/T292-94 at the opposite end. The bearings use mechanical oil CD30 or CD40 added to the bearing body up to the center of the oil sight glass for lubrication. Due to the use of the angular contact ball bearing GB/T292-94, the assembled rotor does not exhibit axial displacement.

Image 1 Operating principle of the DYP type self-balancing multistage pump for oil fields:

The pump shaft, driven by the motor, rotates the impeller, doing work on the liquid and increasing its rotational energy at high speed, so that the necessary amount of liquid passes successively from the suction tank through the pump inlet section, direct impeller, direct guide vanes, middle section, horizontal outlet, transition pipe, secondary inlet section, reverse impeller, reverse guide vanes, to the vertical outlet, and then is discharged to the demand point.

Image 1 Self-balancing multistage pump VS traditional multistage pump 10 major advantages

          1. New structure: The self-balancing multistage pump has rotor components with symmetrically arranged impellers, so that the axial forces generated by the direct and reverse impeller groups cancel each other out, eliminating the balancing disc device that has small spaces, high pressure drop, easy erosion, wear, and failures, overcoming the traditional structure of multistage pumps.

            2. New technology: The self-balancing multistage pump has unique throttling, pressure reduction, and balancing devices in odd stages, which also act as auxiliary support.

            3. High efficiency and energy saving: The self-balancing multistage pump uses an advanced hydraulic model that solves wear and axial pulsation caused by the balance disk, always maintaining excellent centering between the impeller and the guide vanes. During prolonged use, it also prevents significant efficiency loss caused by wear of the balance disk and forward displacement of rotor components in common multistage pumps, in addition to eliminating balance water leakage, reducing volumetric loss, generally improving the operational efficiency of the pump and reducing shaft power, with an average efficiency 3%-12% higher than that of common multistage pumps.

            4. High reliability: The self-balancing multistage pump uses a self-balancing system that basically compensates for the axial force load generated during the operation of the pump, minimizing rotor wear and system interference. A small residual part of the axial force is supported by the thrust bearing, keeping the pump shaft always under tension, with a uniform load distribution and a significant reduction in the peak stress compared to the prototype structure, which improves the rigidity and critical speed of the rotor, significantly increasing the stability and reliability of the pump rotor operation.

            5. High stability: The self-balancing multistage pump, thanks to the excellent symmetrical combination of the impeller and guide vanes, as well as a reasonable adjustment play and a wide axial throttling design, maintains high stability and operational efficiency even after prolonged operation.

            6. Good performance against cavitation: The self-balancing multistage pump uses an optimized hydraulic model and structural design, with a double suction structure in the first stage impeller, along with precise casting and wear-resistant materials, giving it good performance against cavitation. The machine operates stably and quietly, without the user needing to install an additional pre-pump or raise the height of the inlet tank.

           7. Mechanical seal High reliability: Because there is no axial displacement of the rotor during startup and shutdown in the self-balancing multistage pump, nor axial pulsations during operation, the problem of low reliability of the mechanical seal that has always affected multistage pumps has been overcome.

         8. Easy maintenance: The self-balancing multistage pump uses a three-dimensional design for the entire machine, with rotor components machined by numerical control, strictly ensuring the dimensions and machining accuracy of each component. This allows for quick assembly and disassembly of the pump, and the replacement of seals and bearings without disassembling the pump body or the inlet and outlet pipes. General technical personnel can complete the process by following the order and requirements of the assembly diagram, completely avoiding the need for specialized personnel to adjust and position the axial displacement, providing great convenience to the user.

            9. Low maintenance rate: The self-balancing multistage pump uses precise casting, reducing wear parts and the frequency of disassembly for maintenance, prolonging the product's lifespan and largely avoiding a series of problems caused by frequent disassemblies, reducing maintenance costs.

           10. High adaptability: The self-balancing multistage pump uses an advanced combined modular design, with local components that have been tested in intensive use and prolonged operation. The parts have high interchangeability, eliminating the small space balance disk device, better adapting to media with more severe properties than traditional structured multistage pumps.

    FAQ

    Q

What products do you mainly produce?

    A

Zoomlion Pump Industry manufactures various large industrial centrifugal pumps. The main products include: self-balancing multistage pumps, multistage centrifugal pumps, single-stage centrifugal pumps, split-case pumps, chemical pumps, submersible pumps, pipeline pumps, long-shaft pumps, condenser pumps, and more.

    Q

Can you help me choose a model?

    A

Of course! If the water pump model is not selected accurately, it can cause significant problems. After you take it back, it might be either too small to meet the usage requirements or too large, resulting in higher electricity and fuel costs, increasing the operating expenses.

    Q

Why is the price quotation so slow?

    A

Because centrifugal pumps are non-standard custom products with many models and a wide price range. Even for the same model, the price varies greatly depending on the materials and configurations used. Taking the most common pump accessory—the impeller—as an example, the price of a stainless steel impeller is several times that of a cast iron impeller. Therefore, we need to clearly confirm the relevant information to provide you with an accurate price. Normally, if you provide comprehensive information, we can quote within 5 minutes.

    Q

What information should I provide when I need a quote?

    A

Usually, if you want to get an accurate quote, it is recommended that you provide us with the following information: pump flow rate, head, on-site operating voltage, frequency, temperature of the conveyed liquid, pH value, solid particle content, on-site installation conditions (horizontal or vertical installation), and other related details. If you are not very familiar with these, it’s okay; our sales manager will assist you in determining them.

    Q

Do you have centrifugal pumps in stock?

    A

There are many models and configurations of centrifugal pumps. Except for a small number of commonly used standard models that are in stock, the vast majority of models and configurations are not stocked and are customized products. We need to first select the pump based on your site conditions such as flow rate, head, medium temperature, pH value, and installation conditions. After determining the pump model and configuration, we can then place an order with the workshop for production.

    Q

What is your usual delivery time?

    A

Models in stock can be shipped by the next day at the latest. Others are custom-made, and depending on the product size and specific project conditions, the delivery time is generally between 7-90 days. Please consult our sales manager for details: 0731-88632200
