Project Introduction
The DSK, DFSK, DYSK, and MDSK series of horizontal, mid-split, multistage pumps represent a new generation of large-scale, horizontally configured, mid-split multistage centrifugal pumps independently developed by Changsha Zhonglian Pump Industry. This product line features a dual-inlet design with symmetrically arranged impeller and rotor components; after the fluid flows through the final-stage volute casing and pressure chamber on both sides, it exits, forming a parallel-flow configuration. The pump boasts numerous outstanding characteristics, including high flow rate, high head, compact and aesthetically pleasing design, high efficiency and energy savings, a wide high-efficiency operating range, excellent cavitation resistance, smooth operation, convenient maintenance, and reliable performance. As a national high-tech product, it fills a critical gap in China’s market for high-parameter, multistage centrifugal pumps with large flow rates and high heads. These pumps are widely used in industrial cooling-water circulation, secondary pressurization pumping stations for high-altitude water intake, agricultural irrigation, river-water extraction, flood and stormwater drainage, municipal engineering, and other applications.

Design Features of the D/F/Y/MSK Series Horizontal Split-Case Multistage Pumps
1. Horizontally Split Pump Casing
Horizontal split-case multistage pump: the pump casing is horizontally split along the axis, with the inlet and outlet nozzles cast onto the lower half of the pump casing.
2. Dual-inlet structural configuration
A double-inlet configuration is adopted, with the two inlet ports symmetrically arranged at opposite ends of the pump.
3. Impeller Design
The design features closed impellers arranged back-to-back along the shaft centerline.
4. Compact mid-opening design
Disassembly and assembly of the pump require no special tools; optimally designed high-strength bolts densely arranged between the upper and lower pump casings ensure stable operation under high-pressure conditions, while the split-face joint, after being treated with a specialized adhesive, guarantees leak-free performance.
5. Reliable sealing
Packing seals or mechanical seals may be used; alternatively, cartridge-type mechanical seals can be employed. For pumping clear water, a self-flushing design is recommended; for pumping sewage, an external flushing-water system may be adopted. Since the high-pressure zone is located at the pump’s center, the mechanical seal operates in a low-pressure region, ensuring reliable sealing and minimizing the risk of leakage.
6. Bearing Design
The bearings are either sliding or rolling, with dilute-oil lubrication and forced water- or air-cooling for heat dissipation, thereby meeting the requirements of heavy-load, high-speed operation. In special applications, tilting-pad thrust bearings may be used.
Structural Description of the D/F/Y/MSK Series Horizontal Split-Case Multistage Pumps
1. Horizontally Split Pump Casing
Horizontally split multistage pump: the pump casing is horizontally split along the axis, with the inlet and outlet nozzles cast into the lower half of the pump casing.
2. Single-inlet structural configuration
A single-inlet structural configuration is adopted.
3. Impeller Design
The design features closed impellers arranged back-to-back along the shaft centerline.
4. Optimized internal flow channel structure
The internal flow passages have been optimized, resulting in a flat pump performance curve with a wide high-efficiency range, excellent flow stability at off-design flow rates, and low pressure pulsations.
5. Compact mid-open design
High-strength bolts densely arranged between the pump casing and pump cover, following an optimized design, ensure stable operation under high-pressure conditions. The split joint surface is treated with a special adhesive to guarantee leak-free performance. Disassembly and reassembly of the pump require no special tools, making maintenance and inspection simple and convenient.
6. Reliable sealing
Depending on the characteristics of the process fluid, either packing seals, conventional two-piece mechanical seals, or cartridge-type mechanical seals may be selected; for clear water service, a self-flushing design is recommended, whereas for sewage service, an external flushing arrangement must be employed.
